I know, I know, more fireworks pictures after this mornings inundation of photos to your Facebook feed is probably the last thing you need to see… too bad, I’m showing some anyway :-). After all, last night’s fireworks in Belleville were pretty amazing! It’s too bad we weren’t sitting on the beach like we did the night before in Wellington, but if the commentary from the kids sitting nearby during last nights show is to be believed, the fireworks last night were “WOWWW”, “OOOOHHHHH”, “HOLY CRAP!” and “THAT’S MY FAVOURITE KIND!”.

After spending the whole day in fear of being caught in a severe thunderstorm while at the Canada Day festivities at the park, and subsequently waiting to see if the fireworks would go ahead, it was great to see the look on my sons face as he watched the fireworks through the “fireworks glasses” he had received earlier in the day. If you’re not familiar with these glasses, they basically turned all light sources into rainbows…yeah… it was pretty messed up.

Finally, I can’t watch fireworks without thinking of this episode of The Simpsons. I hope you enjoyed your Canada Day!
