It was another cool morning down on the Bay of Quinte today, but I bundled up and headed out anyway. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten up to shoot the sunrise over the bay, partly because of the time the sun rises mid summer but mostly because it rises way to the north and not really over the bay at all.

I wasn’t sure exactly where the sun was going to rise this morning, but I knew it still wouldn’t be out over the bay quite yet. So, I thought I’d try going over to Zwick’s Park to see if I could capture it with Meyers Pier in the foreground. The sun was actually farther south than I had anticipated as it started to peak out over the horizon, but after a little fumbling with the camera I found a new composition and grabbed a few shots before rushing home so my wife could get to work on time!

I also found out that my cameras sensor is absolutely filthy. I love Lightroom spot healing, but I don’t like having to use it this much. Guess it’s time for a cleaning!
