I have yet to figure out a way to keep my fingers from freezing off while taking pictures when it’s -27 outside. I wear two layers of mitts, but they don’t do me much good when I have to take off the outside (warm) ones to handle the camera! I usually get too caught up in trying to get the picture to notice that I’m about to lose a finger to frostbite. If I’m not mistaken, they hurt more when I’m trying to thaw them out in the car!
