Band Portraits
Over the past few months I’ve spent a lot of time photographing as many bands as I could get out to see. Music photography was something that I had been wanting to do for a long time, but like many things in life, I just kept putting it off for one reason or another. Finally I decided to set some goals for myself and just get out and shoot. It’s been a challenging and very rewarding experience. I’ve had the opportunity to see some amazing bands and meet some really great people (despite the fact that I’m terrible at meeting new people, but I’m working on it!)
- Find a couple of bands to work with.
- Find some cool and unique locations to shoot (train tracks and brick walls need not apply).
- Take some incredible pictures.
I’d love to be able to show you a portfolio of promo shots of other bands I’ve worked with and give you a detailed price list. But I don’t have one… yet. That’s where you come in. I’m looking for bands that are willing to work with me on this to help me build that portfolio in exchange for a free photo shoot and some kick ass images for your band. I’m confident we can get some extraordinary results.
Interested? Please read on.
- A FREE photo shoot. We’ll find a location(s), setup lighting and take photos of the band and individual members.
- A free high resolution image (or two?) of the band to use for print, web, promotional material, coffee mugs, pillow shams, CDs, whatever.
- A selection of low resolution images for sharing on Facebook and your web site. Remember the part about the FREE photo shoot? You know nothing is really for free, so this is where you help me (and yourself) by posting and sharing the images for your friends to see your awesome band. I only ask that you provide a link to my website with the images (as per my licensing terms). These images will also be available for purchase in high resolution format as well, if you happen to have more pillows that need shamming.
- Band details: Name, members, Facebook, Web Site, Reverbnation, Videos. You get the idea.
- Some thoughts on where you’d like to do a photo shoot.
- What you plan to do with the photos.
- Boxers or briefs.
- Any other info you might think relevant.
