I’m writing a book! OK, maybe “creating” a book would be more appropriate since it’s really a picture book. I am a photographer after all ;-).

It’s strange really. This past year, I’ve spent a lot of time shooting concerts, although it never really dawned on me just how much time until I sat down recently to look over some of the pictures. As it turns out, I currently have thousands of photos of over 35 bands so far this year. Of course, I’ve been sharing lots of these photos here on this blog, my Facebook Page and in my Music Photography Portfolio, but there’s really nothing like holding a good print in your hands. So, I thought a good way to display some of these would be to create a book.

It may not be a coffee table book about coffee tables, but a coffee table book about local bands and bands that have played in the area is even better right? Given the sheer volume of bands and photos, a book is the perfect format to get them off the computer screen and onto coffee tables.

Some of the local bands to be included: The Nancy’s, Rye & Silence, Goodbye Gorgeous, One Acre War, The Dead Sparrows, Kenny/Black Stab Gospel, Vatican Assassins, Rise Of The Brave, Rainbow Spit, Blue Suit Jacket, The Trudelles, Stealing Patience, Brandon Scott, The Tall Whites, One Day To Live, With Blood Drenched Hands, Pretty Vacants and many more! Add in some bands that have come to play here from out of town like Colfax, We’re Doomed, T3r3strial, Riding Shotgun, The Reason, Beta 58’s, Tiger Uppercut… you get the point.

The year is not over, and I haven’t hung up my camera just yet, so  the book is still a work in progress, but it’s coming along quick so keep an eye out.
