Frink Centre At Night
Between the fireflies, the airplanes, and the terrifying sounds of the march monsters that were creeping up on me in the dark (who were no doubt angry about how dry their home is), it’s a wonder I was able to capture anything on this night at the Frink Centre. But I persisted, and didn’t walk away empty handed.
This shot was a tricky one. Aside from the beasties that were in love with my cameras glowing lights and flashlight, it was much too dark to capture the night sky and the boardwalk in one exposure. So this is actually made up of two frames, one shorter exposure to capture the stars, and one really (really) long one to capture the foreground. I tried some light painting and other techniques but nothing worked like I wanted, so I had to use the (un)available to get any detail in the boardwalk and the marsh.
And all joking aside… the marsh truly is spooky at night… like really spooky. It’s a good thing I’m so brave.
