At the last minute yesterday morning, we decided to head out for a night of camping in the far reaches of Frontenac Provincial Park… at least I assume it was the far reaches based on the hours of paddling and the resulting muscle pain… but I’m terrible with directions, so only my wife actually knows where we were.

We typically avoid travel on the last long weekend of summer, so we figured getting out just before the weekend would help us avoid the crowds, and we were right! Great weather, great campsite and a great (did I mention the muscle pain?) paddle. Not a bad way to end the summer.

Of course I wasn’t without camera, so I took these shots of the sunset, night sky and sunrise from out site. Can’t wait to get out once the fall colours start showing!
