Fall At Vanderwater Conservation Area
It’s times like this that I really wish my camera had a GPS function on it. Although I’d probably always forget to turn it on anyway. If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’ve been doing a lot of exploring for fall colours lately, and also that I have a horrible sense of direction.
So other than the first four photos that were taken at Vanderwater CA, I can’t say for sure exactly where I was when I took these photos :-)… but it wasn’t too far from home. To get these photos at Vanderwater, I was sitting on the shores of the river early in the morning waiting for the sun to peak out over the treeline to the east. As soon as it did, all the bright oranges, yellows and (a little) red started popping out. I used my ND filter to get a slow shutter speed so that the water would look super smooth and grabbed what I could before the sun got too high.
I hope everyone is enjoying fall as much as I am! Stay tuned for more photos in the coming days.
The rest of these photos I took over the past couple of days while driving around to the north of Belleville somewhere from Marmora to Tweed and anywhere in between. I’ve been discovering some pretty amazing back roads and landscapes during my explorations. I don’t always get a photo, but it’s worth the drive anyway!
